DJI Inspire 2 X5S 15mm lens Firecrest ND Filters test.

ND filters are really necessary if you want to lower your shutter speed and open up aperture (iris). For example ND filters are very useful for drone car chasing shots. Using ND filters helps to create motion blur and blur the background. This helps to create more intense shots. Or if you'd like to blur ocean waves or waterfal during long esposure drone photography.
I ordered three 46mm Firecrest ND filters 0.6 - 2 stops, 1.2 - 4 stops, 2.4 - 8 stops.
2.4 - 8 stops filter I'm planning to use in D-log mode with ISO 500 on Sunny days or during winter snow drone shots. 2 stops and 4 stops filters are suitable for overcast and sunset or sunrise videography.
All the time to get best results close to film cameras I'm trying to keep my shutter speed as double of frame rate that I'm filming. For example if I'm filming at 24fps I keep my shutter speed at 1/48 or 1/50; if I'm filming at 30fps I keep shutter at 1/60. For 60fps I set shutter speed to 1/120.
I tested 1.2 4 stops filter yesterday flying in sport mode with speed up to 75km/h.
A good deal on firecrest ND Filteres is on official website http://www.formatt-hitechusa.com.
Also I used discount code FREESHIP to get free shipping. I hope these filters are good for the price.

46mm filter size fits standard DJI 15mm, Laowa 7.5mm and Panasonic 25mm lenses for X5S camera. I got a step down ring adapter 46mm to 37mm for Olympus 45mm and Olympus 12-42mm lenses.
